“ While passing thru Ferndale we decided stop at Bear Tracks for a light lunch. They did not disappoint!! Excellent food! Great service! Reasonably priced!! BUT the homemade butter tarts where the absolute best I’ve ever tasted!! Beautiful flaky crust, the perfect gooey thick butter tart filling!! Best price I’ve seen in a long time!! Oh my gosh I’m drooling thinking about them!! While heading home we stopped and bought a dozen more!! I’m positive we will be stopping again on our next trip north!! And on the way home!! ”

“ OMG! The food is sooo good here! I tried beef liver and it was the best I ever had. My friends had fish and chips, chicken bacon chipotle wrap, and pulled pork sandwich. We then ordered cherry pie, strawberry rhubarb pie, and butterscotch milkshake. Everything is really tasty! Highly recommended! ”

“ I went to Bear Tracks Inn for a dark sky getaway to use my telescope. The staff was incredibly accomodating and kind, and it was a great experience. There are a couple of bright lights in the parking lot area but you can go around the side/back of the building and it's very dark. Highly recommended for this purpose! The rooms were very clean, and had a nice size fridge and an extra heater in the bathroom -- good on the chilly days we were there. The restaurant had a solid menu (including fresh, local fish) and the in-house pies and butter tarts were fantastic. I don't even usually like butter tarts but these were great. My only possible complaint is that the internet was incredibly slow, but it didn't bother me because I wasn't there to use the internet. Just want to make a note to be aware of it if you were to need it for anything more than the basics. Anyhow, I absolutely loved my experience there and will be heading up for other dark sky visits in the future. Check them out! ”
